ADMISSIONS

Starting at the time of warm-ups, collect fees for heat sheets throughout the session.

ANNOUNCER

Announce results of swimmers and any other pertinent information.

AWARDS

For Y-Finalist & A+, work with a partner to organize awards into bags/boxes for each team. The awards will then be distributed to coaches at the end of the meet. At Y- State, the awards will be distributed throughout the weekend to swimmers

COLORADO

(Timing system) Operate the computer for all 8 lanes. (Needs some training – let us know if you are interested.)

COMPUTER ENTRY

Work during swim meets checking scores and entering data for each event. (Needs some training – let us know if you are interested.)

KITCHEN

Serve, prepare and collect money for food sold.

MARSHALL

Keep swimmers in designated areas of the pool, keep parents off bulk heads and other areas of the deck.

TIMER

Training at the beginning of each session. Involves paying close attention to each event, accurately using stop watch, back- up button for Colorado and recording times on clip board

HEAD TIMER

Keep control of two stop watches in case any one of the actual timers may have a problem with their watches.

RUNNER

Take score sheets from Colorado/Timers to office for data to be entered, checked and results finalized.

STAGING 8&U

Keep track of swim events for the 8 & U’s. (Line the swimmers up per lane per heat.) Many of our young swimmers feel “lost” at the meets and this is an easy, rewarding way to keep the meet running smoothly.

T-SHIRT SALES

Collect fees for T-shirts throughout session.

These positions may be appropriate for children. Parents please consider carefully your child’s level of responsibility in deciding whether he/she can perform the tasks. (Timers must be in Group 3 or higher.)
